North Lake Tahoe is a wonderful place for dogs to come and visit and there are many people who do not wish to come to Tahoe without their dogs. We are well aware of this and we also know that when you go and vacation that you would like to stay in a home of similar standards and cleanliness to the one you are currently living in. Over 50 houses on Tahoe Moon Properties’ rental program are dog friendly. We have small cozy cabins, Ski- in condos, fantastic Lakeviews homes and many other beautiful homes all of which are beautifully clean – something we pride ourselves on. All our dog friendly homes are equipped with a dog basket which includes dog tags with home information, dog towels, sheets for covering beds &/or furniture, a sticky roller for hair removal, dog biscuits, and a poop scoop and bags. Many of our vacation homes also have a dog bed. |

In the last 6 years a large percentage of our rental clients have brought their dogs with them, these clients reinforce our belief that dog owners are responsible renters that take great care of our properties. We charge a minimal dog fee ($40 dog/stay) that covers some additional cleaning, and maintenance of our dog supplies. We also require you to sign our dog rules.
A letter to a hotel we enjoyed;
"Dogs Welcome"
A man wrote a letter to a small hotel in a Midwest town he planned to visit on his vacation.
He wrote: I would very much like to bring my dog with me.
He is well-groomed
And very well behaved.
Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at night?"

An immediate reply came from the hotel owner, who wrote:
SIR: "I've been operating this hotel for many years. In all that time, I've never had a dog steal towels, bedclothes, silverware or pictures off the walls.
I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly.
And I've never had a dog run out on a hotel bill.
Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel.
And, if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."
