Description:
Sunnyside Cottage is a cozy dog friendly vacation rental on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. This two bedroom cabin is the perfect getaway for friends or a small family, located a short drive from Tahoe City, a short walk from Lake Tahoe and about 15 minutes drive to Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows ski area. The cozy living room has an overstuffed chair and couch and a wood stove. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking up meals to share after a great day on the slopes of hiking, or for whipping up a salad to share in the beautiful big back yard. There is a great dining room table seating 6 in the kitchen area with views of the yard.
Downstairs there is a big renovated bathroom with bath/shower. Upstairs there are two bedrooms both with queen beds, down comforters and quality linens. There is also a second bathroom.
The back yard has a large grassy area, an outdoor fireplace and also a large hot tub, on the back deck under the stars.
Please note there is a caretaker (and a dog) that live in the studio off the back deck. You will see him arrive and leave, and he takes care of the snow removal.
A 5 minute stroll from Sunnyside Cottage puts you at Sunnyside Resort for a great apre drink or dinner or in summer, fish tacos on the deck. Another minute down the road will put you at Firesign Cafe for the best breakfast in town. Next door to Sunnyside is a dog friendly beach on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
The central location of this cottage puts it close to some great hiking and wild flower viewing in summer, great ski areas in winter and some golf courses that are very highly regarded, such as Coyote Moon, Incline Village, the Resort at Squaw Creek.

Availability and Booking
Cleaning Fee: $130
Transient Occupancy Tax: 10%
Dog Fee: $30/dog/stay
There are some periods where there is a one week minimum with an advance booking but we will try hard to fit any length bookings in so please give us a call.
Check in time is 3:00PM and check out time is 10:00AM, if there is an opening before or after your stay we will try to accommodate any requests for changing these times, but these must be approved by the office. If the house is booked directly after your stay the check out time is very important because we need the time to prepare the home for our new guests.
