Luxury Lakeview Retreat is a stunning vacation home located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe with amazing panoramic lakeviews and a beautiful landscape garden to relax in and enjoy the views with the whole family. This six bedroom house with additional apartment is a wonderful vacation rental has old Tahoe charm and is extremely well equipped, and a pleasure to visit. From the moment you open the door you will be struck by the panoramic views of Lake Tahoe that can be seen from the great room that includes the kitchen, living and dining rooms, as well as the entertainment room, hot tub and the master bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and will please those who like to cook and entertain, the breakfast bar that wraps around the kitchen seats 8 and is a great place to hang out and entertain the cook while he whips up dinner. There is an espresso maker for morning coffee enjoying the view. The living room features big comfy couches and a big flat screen TV with DVD player and CD player with satellite TV. It will be a hard decisions........face the Lake or face the TV?
The homeowner will consider dogs but his approval must be given.
The dining table seats 6 but there is extra seating around the breakfast bar for 6 - 8 more.
Downstairs is the entertainment room which has a pool table, dart board, large TV with DVD player and more panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. The entertainment room also has 2 queen futons. Off the entertainment is a huge built in hot tub and current pool that has jets that you can swim against. There is a bedroom on this level with a queen bed and a full bathroom with bath and shower. There is a washer and dryer in a utility room off the entertainment room.
Upstairs is a large master bedroom with panoramic Lakeviews and a skylight, there is a chair positioned in front of the window, perfectly placed for reading or just relaxing. Upstairs also has a small den with two comfy chairs and a TV when you need some quiet time away from the group. Although working is strongly discouraged there is a small office upstairs but as there is a view of the Lake from the office you will probably find yourself quite unproductive.
There is also a one bedroom apartment with kitchenette (coffee maker, microwave and toaster oven) that is not attached to the house. It has a living room with TV, DVD player and satellite and wood stove and upstairs a large bedroom that has two twin beds and a queen bed and a loft with a queen mattress. The loft is not suitable for children. The apartment is a great place for grandparents who like some quiet time or a family with young children that have early bedtimes. The apartment has a full bathroom with shower, and laundry room with washer and dryer. There is a large sunny deck off the bedroom.
The garden has grass and different levels to enjoy the amazing views, but for those wanting a little outdoor activity other than drinking wine and enjoying the view there is also a croquet set. There is a large gas BBQ outside too.
This lovely home is centrally located in Carnelian Bay close Tahoe City with all it's great restaurants and shopping. A 15 - 20 minute drive will put you at Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows and within an hours drive there are many other great ski areas such as Northstar at Tahoe, Mt Rose and Sugarbowl Ski Area. The Tahoe area also has some great golf courses including Coyote Moon, Tahoe Donner, Resort at Squaw Creek, Gray's Crossing, Incline Mountain and Championship golf courses.

Transient Occupancy Tax: 10%
Security Deposit Protection (SDP): $39

There are some periods where there is a one week minimum with an advance booking but we will try hard to fit any length bookings in so please give us a call.
Check in time is 3:00PM and check out time is 10:00AM, if there is an opening before or after your stay we will try to accommodate any requests for changing these times, but these must be approved by the office. If the house is booked directly after your stay the check out time is very important because we need the time to prepare the home for our new guests.
