Squaw Valley Castle is a wonderfully eclectic vacation rental and a classic example of a man's home is his castle. It even has a draw bridge. This large vacation home is set up for big groups to socialize and relax and every detail has been thought about. There is also a hot tub and dogs are welcome. The kitchen is large and incredibly well equipped with two stoves, including a convention oven, many gourmet meals have been prepared in this kitchen. The dining room table is long and large and seats 12, there is also a breakfast nook that seats 4 - 6.
On entering this property you will see the wonderful huge open fireplace that was made from a LA harbor buoy and is suspended in the middle of the room. There is a bar in one corner and a comfortable living area in the other with a large TV which is hooked up to satellite. There is also a half bath on this level.
On the main floor there is the master bedroom which has lovely mountain views and a water bed, the master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and the shower glass is etched with a view of Squaw Valley. From the master bedroom there is a sliding door leading out to a huge deck and a hot tub with great views of the valley.
There is also a laundry room on this level which has a extra twin bed, in case an unexpected guest turns up.
Upstairs there are three more bedrooms each with there own bathrooms, the bedroom to the left with the Japanese theme has a queen bed, the middle bedroom has two double beds and the third bedroom has a king bed with a TV, VHS player and satellite and lovely mountain views.
There are two ways downstairs a small winding staircase from the living room or a traditional staircase, although a thin from the storage room. Downstairs has a pool table, TV and a great bar. Behind the bar is the wall of fame with pictures of many of people that have enjoyed the hospitality of this great home. Feel free to send us a photo to be added to the wall. On this level are two more bedrooms and a full bathroom with a bath and shower. The bedroom to the left has a double bed then there is another bedroom that also doubles as an office. The owners have left there large monitors at the house that you can plus your laptops into but please note that working is strongly discouraged and must be kept to a minimum. This room has two twin bunks and the kids will love the large stuffed animals in this room.
There is a large storage room on this floor with an extra refrigerator and also access to upstairs.
The final bedroom is above the garage and needs to be entered through the garage although it is worth it. This room is newly renovated has a queen bed, TV with DVD and satellite and a great master bathroom with granite and stone.
There is parking for one car in garage, and 4 - 5 more cars on the parking pad, depending on the size of the cars and the amount of snow.
This property is located only a few minutes drive from the Village at Squaw Valley or 10 - 15 minutes and you can be in Alpine Meadows, Truckee or Tahoe City and all the great shops and restaurants. A 15 minute drive will also put you on the shores of Lake Tahoe and all the great water sports that are offered there in summer.

Availability and Booking
Cleaning Fee: $400
Transient Occupancy Tax: 10% charged on rent, cleaning, and dog fee.
Dog Fee: $40/dog/stay
Ski Lease: $7000/month plus utilities starting January 5 for 4 months or December 1 for 5 months.
There are some periods where there is a one week minimum with an advance booking but we will try hard to fit any length bookings in so please give us a call.
Check in time is 3:00PM and check out time is 10:00AM, if there is an opening before or after your stay we will try to accommodate any requests for changing these times, but these must be approved by the office. If the house is booked directly after your stay the check out time is very important because we need the time to prepare the home for our new guests.
