Bunker Lodge is a dog friendly North Lake Tahoe vacation cabin has a hot tub and backs to national forest conservancy land. This North Shore vacation rental is located on the hill just behind Tahoe City, about a 1/2 mile walk into town. This classic Tahoe home gives you the convenience of being close to town while feeling that you are tucked away in the forest. A large sunny back deck looks out over the creek and the meadow, with no other cabins in sight.
The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and it sleeps up to 12 comfortably. For the kids we have two television sets with cable, video and DVD access, and an X Box with games in the upstairs bedroom. The cabin has all the amenities of home including a fireplace, barbeque, televisions, stereo, well-stocked kitchen, nice furniture, and most importantly – comfortable beds.
For skiing and snowboarding, the cabin has a close proximity to Alpine Meadows (6 miles), Homewood (8 miles), Northstar (10 miles) and Squaw Valley (8 miles). In addition, you do not have to battle the Highway 89 traffic once you are in Tahoe City. You simply go straight onto Highway 28, which is North Lake Boulevard, drive a mile into Tahoe City and take a left on Grove Street. Grove turns into Bunker Road. Located in Tahoe City are all types of restaurants, shops, and stores. The town gives you the feel that you are in a quaint ski village in the winter.
Tubing and sledding can be done at the local resorts, across the back meadow, or just down the driveway.
There are nearby golf courses, hiking trails, bike trails, beach access, and boat ramps. The cabin really works well with families, 3 or 4 couples, or a large group of friends.

There are some periods where there is a one week minimum with an advance booking but we will try hard to fit any length bookings in so please give us a call.
Check in time is 3:00PM and check out time is 10:00AM, if there is an opening before or after your stay we will try to accommodate any requests for changing these times, but these must be approved by the office. If the house is booked directly after your stay the check out time is very important because we need the time to prepare the home for our new guests.
