*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events. While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.
Dog-Friendly - Hot Tub - HOA Pool Access
You will not be giving up creature comforts to enjoy the 'Old Tahoe' charm of this dog-friendly Lake Tahoe log cabin vacation rental. Enjoy the towering evergreens as you relax in the sun on more than 700 square feet of deck. Use the gourmet gas grill for a mountain air BBQ, soak in the outdoor hot tub, and share special times with family and friends around the gas campfire ring. With just the push of a button, you can have a warm by the cozy living room fire. Gather around the dining table for games with music in the background, use the free high-speed wireless internet, watch cable TV, or watch DVD’s or videos. The fully equipped kitchen with its new gas range, microwave oven, and stone counters makes dining in a pleasure. Not to mention there is a ping pong table in the garage for kids and adults alike.
Eight people can be accommodated in comfort and style. The 'Oak Leaf' master bedroom with a California king-size bed and the 'Pinecone' full bath are on the ground floor. Upstairs, the 'Forest Fern' bedroom offers two double beds. 'Camp Run-A-Muck' is a large dorm style room with two single-over queen bunk beds, a foosball table, TV, VCR, and CD stereo. There is a half bath on the second floor. Patton Beach (dog-friendly) is a short half mile walk from the home. There is plenty of off-street parking, and the charm and amenities of this vacation rental cabin will keep you coming back year after year.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
-Important, this property does not have air conditioning. Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.
-This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $70 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum. If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.
-The house does have access to the HOA's pool and pier, but there is a $10 fee per person per day for access to the pool. The first 4 guests per unit do NOT have to pay the fee, but children that can walk are included in the count (typically 2 and under are free). Guests are required to fill out a Rental Role Form 2 days before their booking.
IMPORTANT:
On March 11th, 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
•Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
•Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
•Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 4

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9 pm-8 am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3. By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant, and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation, and transportation services.
