While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.
Private Beach - Walk to Tahoe City - Dog Friendly
This large home is inviting and richly decorated, with plenty of space to entertain as well as warm, cozy spots to curl up. It offers the best of both worlds, with a spacious, thoughtfully appointed interior, plus lots to explore outdoors with the homeowner’s association’s private pier, lawn, and beach area a few steps away. Walking distance is Tahoe City, Truckee River, and the famous Sunnyside Restaurant. Bike paths are right outside your doorstep.
The first floor has several comfortable living areas that flow easily from one to the next. The living room combines comfort and style, with plush furnishings, a gas fireplace, and a stone hearth; the adjacent TV area has a large couch and upholstered chairs, plus a large flat-screen TV and a gas-burning stove--in addition to the fireplace! This living area transitions into the large kitchen; new appliances and long granite countertops make it easy to cook up an elaborate meal or prepare snacks for a whole group. One feature that makes this home especially suited for entertaining is a bar that’s adjacent to the living room; it’s easy to shake up a few cocktails and spend time with friends or family. All four bedrooms have queen beds and are outfitted in a chic, modern-country style, with coordinating curtains, bed linens, and vintage art.
The outdoor experience here is just as charming as the home itself! If you don’t want to go far, the shaded front porch has a grill and patio table, plus a sitting area with a heater. Lake Tahoe is just one block away, and you get filtered views of it right out the window! If you walk down to the shore, you have access to the Tahoe Sierra Estates area. This includes a large, plush lawn, a private beach, and pier access.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
- This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $70 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum. If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.
-Important, this property does not have air conditioning. Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.
-While this home has 4 beds in 4 separate rooms, only 3 of the rooms are able to be used by Short Term Renters, as Placer County limits the bedroom count to rooms with a window large enough for egress. The first downstairs room to the left does not have a large enough window to be considered a bedroom by Placer County standards, so we are marketing its use as a 3 BR for vacation rentals. Lease tenants (staying 31+ nights) can use this room at their own risk.
-Check-out is at 10 am.
On March 11th, 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
•Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
•Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
•Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 4
POLICIES & DISCLOSURES
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9 pm - 8 am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3. By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant, and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation, and transportation services.

Great place to stay and no problems!
Great location, the private beach is a plus. Loved the fireplace and overall the house was clean and well kept. Property management team was easy to get a hold off and prompt with responses. Would definitely stay here again.
Short walk to Tahoe City and an off street bike path is easily accessed. A favorite bakery is located across the street from the homes in this development. Beach for swimming or kayaking is also a short walk away. We loved the large front porch among the trees and spent a lot of time there. Kitchen is very nice and well stocked but bring a hand held mixer if you will be needing one.
Great place! Slept 8 very comfortably, Upstairs Master bedroom was fantastic. Private beach a huge plus. Recommend highly.
A perfect getaway for my family and me. Management team was quick to respond to questions. House was just what our family required with enough room for everyone. Only negative was that some of the neighbors were a bit noisy on some evenings.
Fantastic location and great place for our group of friends to enjoy the lake and the city. Both are a short walk away. The house's four full sized bedrooms and large deck made it a great shared space for multiple couples and the private beach a few minutes walk away made for entertaining days.

It was a great place to stay. Plenty of space for everyone. Great grand parents, had plenty of space to walk around. Our son and his wife with the new baby stayed in the master bedroom upstairs. It was like there own private suite. Great grandparents had the master suite down stairs. My daughter had her own space and we had ours. It was just perfect. It was a very easy walk to the lake. It was a very quiet neighborhood. It was just a great place all in all.
We were in Tahoe for a wedding and this Home was great for multiple couples. Great location, and the private entrance to the lake is great!!
