*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events. While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.
Dog-Friendly - Hot Tub - Minutes From Ski Resort
Alpine Meadows Getaway is a perfect winter vacation rental cabin. Just a few minutes drive to the slopes of Alpine Meadows, not far from Palisades Tahoe, and in Summer around 15 minutes from Tahoe City, Lake Tahoe, and some great restaurants and shopping. This North Shore vacation home is super cozy for winter with a great fireplace but has lovely high ceilings with lots of windows for natural light. The homeowners have added a great walkway to make winter entry so much easier.
This ski cabin is split level, a few steps down from the entry is the kitchen and dining table with seating for six. The kitchen has a breakfast bar with seating for an additional three people and it is a great place to hang out to keep the cook company or share a glass of wine. The kitchen is also well equipped for making meals for friends and family, as there is an electric stove and an espresso maker to get you going early in the morning. A few steps up to the living area which has a flat screen TV, two couches and two chairs and a gas open fireplace which creates a lovely ambiance. A few more steps and you are in an open bedroom with a king bed, including a bathroom on this level with a bath and shower. Up a ladder, you will find a loft with a double bed and a twin bed, but it is not suitable for young children. The downstairs level has a bedroom with a queen bed and a built-in bed suitable for a young child, plus another bedroom with a queen bed. This level also has a bathroom with a shower and access to the back deck for the hot tub. Superb location, great vacation home.
Our family had a great winter ski vacation at this cozy cabin. The proximity to the ski slope at Alpine Meadows is bar none. Great open floor plan of the living room, kitchen, and dining room space. We'd love to come back!
AMAZING Treehouse Feel!
This cabin is amazing and perfect for someone who wants to be close to the mountain. We skied everyday and we're only a couple minutes from the slope! The tree house like nature of the cabin made it feel large and everyone had their own space. We also brought our pup so had a great time in the snow! We will be staying here again!!!
10/10 would return
Awesome cabin. We booked day of for an impromptu ski trip. The location cannot be beat, it is less than 15 minutes to Alpine Meadows and Squaw. When the hot tub wasn't heating up, they had a maintenance guy out there in a few hours. We only had 3 people, but it can comfortably fit 3 couples. 10/10 would stay there again.

Beautiful house in a great location nearby hiking and the river
“Beautiful house in a great location nearby hiking and the river. A shirt drive to Tahoe City fit restaurants and groceries. We stayed here in the summer, but would be an awesome spot for skiing Alpine and Squaw! Comes with a huge mudroom for all year gear. Kitchen is stocked with appliances and dishes for some great home cooked meals. The big hot tub on the rear deck was our favorite part! Communication with the host quick and East. They're very responsible with respect to adhering to requirements around Covid-19, so we could rest assured that our stay was safe and healthy. Highly recommend for a stay with a small group of friends or family trip. We'll definitely be back this ski season! Thank you for a lovely stay!”
Super charming cozy cabin
“Super charming cozy cabin. With nice private hot tub and creek in the backyard. Beds were comfy and it's stocked with everything you'll need.”
Enjoyed a very relaxing stay
“This house has lots of character and feels a little like a grown-up tree house, which is a good thing in my opinion! We arrived in a blizzard, so the large fireplace and cosy surrounds were very welcome. Each room is on a different level to the next with a few vertical steps in between, so just be aware of that if you have mobility problems. Overall, we really enjoyed a very relaxing stay.”
