*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events.  While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.  
Dog-Friendly - Hot Tub - Minutes From Ski Resort 

Alpine Meadows Getaway is a perfect winter vacation rental cabin.  Just a few minutes drive to the slopes of Alpine Meadows, not far from Palisades Tahoe, and in Summer around 15 minutes from Tahoe City, Lake Tahoe, and some great restaurants and shopping.  This North Shore vacation home is super cozy for winter with a great fireplace but has lovely high ceilings with lots of windows for natural light.  The homeowners have added a great walkway to make winter entry so much easier.

This ski cabin is split level, a few steps down from the entry is the kitchen and dining table with seating for six.  The kitchen has a breakfast bar with seating for an additional three people and it is a great place to hang out to keep the cook company or share a glass of wine.  The kitchen is also well equipped for making meals for friends and family, as there is an electric stove and an espresso maker to get you going early in the morning.  A few steps up to the living area which has a flat screen TV, two couches and two chairs and a gas open fireplace which creates a lovely ambiance.  A few more steps and you are in an open bedroom with a king bed, including a bathroom on this level with a bath and shower.  Up a ladder, you will find a loft with a double bed and a twin bed, but it is not suitable for young children.  The downstairs level has a bedroom with a queen bed and a built-in bed suitable for a young child, plus another bedroom with a queen bed.  This level also has a bathroom with a shower and access to the back deck for the hot tub.  The hot tub is outside and undercover, great for relaxing with a cold beer after a hard day hiking or on the slopes.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: 
-This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $70 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum.  If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.
-Additional Fees include cleaning fee, administration fee, and local Transient Occupancy Tax. 
-Check out time is 10 AM.
-Important, this property does not have air conditioning.  Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.
-Please note that the internet in Alpine Meadows is not always super reliable, but the service is all there is to choose from.

IMPORTANT:
On March 11th, 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- $5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
   •Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
   •Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
   •Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 4 

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2.As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9 pm-8 am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3.By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant, and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation, and transportation services.
