*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events.  While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.  

Dog-Friendly - Hot Tub - Newly Renovated Kitchen - Garage

This property is very clean with a brand new kitchen and is well equipped for your vacation.  Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, it offers a sunny back deck with a filtered lake view and hot tub, as well as easy access to the extensive walking/biking trail network on the north shore.  There is a garage with room for 2 cars, and the driveway can accommodate up to 4 more cars.  The kitchen is newly renovated and stunning, the chefs among your group will love it.  There is a good amount of cookware and utensils, not to mention a breakfast bar. 
Important, this property does not have air conditioning.  Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe. 

The dining area has a table for 6 as well as an entertainment center with a stereo, card games, and books.  The living area includes a beautiful new 3-seat couch, a smaller futon-style couch, plus a comfy chair with a nice coffee table.  The TV includes a VCR/DVD player, a wood stove, and large windows offering plenty of light.  

BED CONFIGURATION: 
Downstairs bedroom:  2 sets of bunk beds, nice sized closet
Full bath in the downstairs hall.
Upstairs bedroom: Queen bed with a nice bedroom set/ bedside tables/ dresser/ and closet.
Upstairs bedroom 2 (master): Queen bed, lake view, walk-in closet with sink, joins to a bathroom.
Full bath in the upstairs hall accessed through the hallway or through the master bedroom.
Laundry room with washer/dryer downstairs.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

•   Please note the max occupancy of this property is 6 adults and 2 children.
•   This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $70 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum.  If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.
•  This property does not have air conditioning, air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe. 
•  Additional Fees include cleaning fee, administration fee, and local Transient Occupancy Tax.  
• Check-out time is 10 AM.

IMPORTANT:
On March 11th, 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
   •Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
   •Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
   •Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 4 
 
 

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9 pm - 8 am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3. By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant, and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation, and transportation services.

Great for the holidays
This property was in a wonderful location and perfect for our getaway over the Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen is gorgeous and living area relaxing. Trails are a quick walk from the front door.

The deck was beautiful for meals and relaxing. The hot tub was the best we've ever experienced

Made for a cozy family Thanksgiving
We enjoyed the open floor plan, updated kitchen, hot tub and fire stove. Made for a cozy family Thanksgiving. The bathrooms and bedrooms are very dated but most of our time was spent in the living area so it didn't bother us too much. Host was very responsive with a small issue on the first day. Overall I'd stay again!

Is there any highway noise?

Answer:

There isn't much highway noise since the home is perched way above Lake Blvd which is only one lane in either direction. The location is quite serene. 

What is the nearest beach?

Answer:

There are plenty of public beaches nearby. The closest is Patton Beach and Carnelian West Beach right near Garwoods (a lakefront restaurant. In the other direction, about 8-10 minutes away is Skylandia Beach or Lake Forest Beach. All great options for summer travelers!

Answer:

This home is about 2.5 - 3 miles from the closest beachs.  Waterman's Landing is one of those beaches that is pet-friendly and it's located in Carnelian Bay which is about 2.5 miles away.
