Description Description
*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events.  While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

Pet-friendly - Large Deck - Walking Distance to the Beach

Old Tahoe Charm is sold here! As you pull up to the cabin, one may notice the towering pines perfectly shading the newly rebuilt deck. The living area has been upgraded with hickory hardwood flooring, flat-screen television with cable TV, WIFI, and a gas fireplace. The kitchen, while quaint, includes all of the necessary essentials; an oven with a smooth-surface cooktop, countertop microwave, 12-cup coffee maker, toaster, and stainless steel fridge. Please note: There is no washer/dryer or dishwasher in the unit. It is also a cabin, it will have ample lamps and lighting but some rooms are less lit than others. It's a mountain cabin that is easy to enjoy!

This home comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults but can accommodate 6 if needed with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms over two floors, plus a walk-through loft leading to the upstairs bedroom. On the main floor, the first bedroom is outfitted with a BRAND NEW (as of February 1st, 2022) Queen bed with a plush pillowtop mattress allowing travelers all the comforts of home, but surrounded by the nature you traveled here for. Up the stairs, you’ll find a great loft-style area for the youngins with a trundle bed and a full futon that folds out to accommodate all sorts of traveling groups. The futon is really intended to be used as overflow sleeping and is best suited for a child in most cases. Before entering the second bedroom, a Jack-and-Jill bathroom awaits making it easy to be shared by guests sleeping in the upstairs bedroom or the loft alike. Beyond, the second bedroom has yet another BRAND NEW (Feb. 2022) plush Queen bed and private access to the backyard via a balcony staircase.

This cabin is situated less than a mile from the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area, which boasts 2.7 miles of public lake access, a sheltered boat launching facility, and picnic facilities, as well as kayak and SUP rentals straight from the lake's shore in the summer months. At the end of the street, you'll find the North Tahoe Regional Park with tons of hiking, and biking, as well as a disc golf course in the summer, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing in the winter. When staying at this home you're less than 10 miles from Northstar and about 15 miles from Palisades Tahoe for world-class skiing.

Face it, this home is the perfect year-round base camp for all your Tahoe travels.

Cabin in the woods
Despite being right off the road, it was quiet inside. Plenty of space for my husband and I. We didn’t use the upstairs but it was plenty large enough to accommodate a small family. As stated in other reviews, the kitchen does not have a lot of counter space but it was enough for the two of us. We enjoyed sitting out on the outside deck in the afternoon sunshine. The beds were fine. We both commented that the mattresses were firm, but some like that. We loved being in the woods sharing nature. A lovely cabin in the woods!

Fantastic Weekend
Great cabin!! We brought our family up from Rocklin for a long weekend getaway and some cooler weather. There were 5 of us and we all had ample space and were comfortable the entire time. We were not in the cabin much during the day and it took until about 9pm to cool down enough inside with all windows open. Temps at night were perfect without AC. The wood flooring inside is SUPER slick so be very very careful up and down stairs and walking around with socks on as my kiddos slipped several times. We did hear a few little critter feet/paws scampering around in the attic, but it could have also been on the roof - to be expected in the middle of Tahoe! Great experience, very clean, and would absolutely book again!!

Great little place for a getaway.
Great little place for a getaway. Within walking distance to the water and driving distance to the slopes. We had a great time relaxing, cooking, and hanging out.

Cabin in the Woods
The cabin is right off the main road. Which means we were lucky they plowed the street. We got snowed in during the bad storm in December. The location is great. We liked the old cabin in the woods feel. It had enough room for our family of 5 plus a little dog. No dishwasher. No washer or dryer. (Which is needed in the snow). And lighting is really poor. We were not super impressed with the management company. They were not accommodating when we got snowed in. Still had to be out by 10.am. Which meant we had to hustle and shovel ourselves out while it was snowing. Very stressful.

Great Locale
This is a great location and the cabin has a good layout for a family. Lake and open space is close as well as northstar and diamond peak. The kitchen is on the smaller side with no dishwasher so best for eating out and simple meals.

Rustic property- good location
Rustic property. Some amenities were lacking. But the space was quiet and comfortable, but the beds are on the harder side. You can definitely make due here.
