*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events.  While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.  
If you are chasing after a powder day, or just enjoying the Tahoe scenery this is the ultimate mountain/ski cabin. Promised Land is within walking distance to all that Northstar offers, yet just 10 minutes to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Located in the sought after Beaver Pond neighborhood, this 4 bed / 3 bath mountain retreat is situated in very close proximity to the Village via an adjacent TMT trail system.

This cozy mountain home boasts gleaming granite countertops, a sophisticated feeling common space, radiant heat throughout, and lovely forest views from every room. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, each with a Queen bed, sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom in between. Upstairs, the remaining two rooms, loft, and additional bathroom and living area await. One bedroom offers a Queen Bed and Twin bunk, and the other another Queen bed. 

Located in the Northstar Resort confines, this home comes with free shuttle service to the ski lifts, Village, and Recreation Center; just give them a call and be picked up in minutes at your driveway! The Northstar Recreation Center is accessible via HOA cards left at the property for you, and a small cash fee you'll pay at the door when you utilize the facilities. The Recreation Center provides a year-round heated adult lap pool, several outdoor hot tubs, dry saunas, a well-equipped expansive workout room, a game room with pool tables, air hockey, video games and much more. In the summer, it also offers a Junior Olympic size swimming pool, kiddie pool, kid’s camp, play area, basketball court and the Snack Shack. The recreation center also offers pickleball, yoga and tennis lessons. There's something for everybody - and every time of year. 

Winter activities at Northstar Resort include the new Lookout Mountain offering acres of terrain for skiers and snowboarders including a Terrain Park and Super-pipe. There is a cross-country center, snow tubing park, ice skating rink, restaurants, bars, retail shops, equipment rental shops, licensed daycare, and a movie theater.  But Northstar is not only a Winter Resort... Summer activities include a champion 18-hole golf course and golf pro, tennis courts, tennis pro available for lessons, roller skating rink, mountain bike trails (including running chair lifts to take you to the top) as well as an equestrian center with great trails for horseback riding.  Please note that during the Spring and Fall seasons, when Northstar's winter and summer mountain operations are closed, the Village restaurants and retail outlets run on a modified schedule.

Other Things to Note: 
-Additional Fees include cleaning fee, administration fee, and local Transient Occupancy Tax.
-Check out time is 10 AM.
-Important, this property does not have air conditioning.  Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.

IMPORTANT:
On March 11th 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
   •Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
   •Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
   •Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 3

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES :
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3. By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID, is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation and transportation services.

Answer:

There is not a garage at this home.  Our homeowners do pay for snow removal which starts once 6" of snow accumulates, but we do not have a specific schedule for them, and they usually only come by once a day, so guests might have to shovel depending on snow levels.  We will clear decks and walkways before your arrival, but anything beyond that is up to the guest.
