Description Description
*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events.  While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

If you are looking for the perfect mountain getaway to enjoy with friends and family, Tahoe Cedar Lodge is the place. The house is an ideal mix of contemporary and mountain aesthetics with lake views that will inspire you to get outside and explore, then gather together after a day of adventuring. This vacation home is conveniently located halfway between Tahoe City and Kings Beach, in the highly sought-after Cedar Flat neighborhood. This spacious mountain lodge blends family style living with mountain luxury offering a hot tub, pool table, five televisions, a landscape garden, and multiple decks to enjoy the warm summer days and Tahoe sunsets. Important, this property does not have air conditioning.  Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe Tahoe Cedar Lakeview Lodge welcomes each guest into a large open kitchen, dining, and living area, filled with sunlight and views of Lake Tahoe and its surrounding Alpine peaks.
The kitchen offers ample counter space on all sides with a central bench with a cook top and breakfast bar. The living room, centered around a cozy stone gas fireplace, includes a fully equipped entertainment center with television, cable and DVD player, and two large comfortable couches with a matching overstuffed armchair and ottoman.  This large great room also offers a long dining room table comfortably seating 12 guests, an antique piano accompanied by songbooks, and access to a sun-filled deck with a gas BBQ, picnic table, and plenty of outdoor furniture.   All bedroom accommodations include high-quality beds and beautiful new linens.
The large primary bedroom upstairs offers a King size bed, TV and VCR/DVD, and lake views.  The accompanying primary bath includes two sinks, a whirlpool tub, and glass enclosed shower.  The second upstairs room has a Queen bed and an endless supply of board games with a half bath across the hall.  The third bedroom downstairs includes a queen bed, a comfortable reclining chair, and elegant bedside lighting, perfect for bedtime readers.  The fourth bedroom downstairs offers a lake view, with a queen bed, large closet and a TV and a small entertainment center.  The fifth bedroom also offers a queen bed, TV and its own private shaded deck.  On the newly added lower level is a sixth bedroom with flat screen TV/DVD and primary suite. The suite is located next to a wonderful brand-new entertainment room with a pool table flat screen TV and access through a sliding door to a large outdoor hot tub.  The suite is located off the game room with pool table.
The Tahoe Cedar Lakeview Lodge is in a great location to enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer in both summer and winter seasons!  Guests of Tahoe Cedar Lakeview Lodge especially enjoy access to the extensive walking/hiking/cross country skiing trail network less than a 1/4 mile up the street.  World class mountain biking awaits just out your front door or follow the trails West into Tahoe City for a lakeside lunch!  The Tahoe Cedar Lakeview Lodge is a dog-friendly vacation home, offering a spacious landscaped backyard or miles of walking trails just around the corner.  Enjoy a stunning lake view amidst towering pines from the home's expansive living room windows or the private back deck.
This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $70 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum.  If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.

Post-Christmas Get Together Success
We rented this home for a post Christmas family get together for a group of 9 adults and one child plus a dog. We cooked all of our dinners at the house and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked with many pots, pans, dishes and glassware as well as spices and many staples. We especially enjoyed the large dining room table for our meals as well as many family games and crafts. The living room area was spacious and we used the gas fireplace nightly. With all of the snow that had fallen and continued to fall while we were there, we couldn't have had more beautiful views. We didn't spend as much time outside as we would have liked, but still ended up building a snowman and sled runway for our grandson with all of the snow in the yard. Several of our group enjoyed the hot tub nightly after a day of playing in the snow. We also appreciated that the driveway was plowed. We did wish that there had been a full propane tank for the outdoor table firepit and we could have used more bags for recycling and soap for the showers, otherwise things were great! We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing property with great views! We had a grand time! The house has everything we needed. The boys had fun in their boy cave with the pool table. Location is great! We didn't have to drive far to find a place to go sledding for the kids and adults.

Great spot for a weekend in Tahoe.
“Great spot for a weekend in Tahoe. Really close to both Tahoe City and Truckee with easy access to both ski resorts and marinas for boating. It was nicer than the pictures made it seem.”

House is nicer than it looks in the pictures Great common spaces, great location
“House is nicer than it looks in the pictures. Great common spaces, great location and 6 bedrooms to comfortably fit our group. There were lots of kitchen gadgets and servingware, and the peek of lake view off the main room/balcony was a nice bonus. Our kids enjoyed the grassy yard and big garage/flat driveway. The bathrooms are outdated, but clean, and the house was well suited to families. We brought our own baby gate for the stairs and they ended up having one (w/o an easy open, but still was a good to know). Enjoyed our stay.”

“This cabin was incredible! It had a beautiful view of the lake from the living area and the master bedroom. Great amenities for staying cozy in the snow and being able to cook with your family. Super close to Squaw! It was a great stay! And we were lucky enough to have fresh powder all weekend which made it even more special!”

We met from various parts of the country, and had 12 people, 5 of them under 5 years old. The layout of the house worked for the 2 families with kids, provided privacy for the sole teen, and had plenty of room for everyone together. The location, between Tahoe City and Kings Beach made it easy to access shopping, restaurants and recreation. We did laundry everyday, but still had plenty of towels (once we found them) for showers and beach. Note: laundry is on 3rd level down, and there is no laundry basket to be found, so we carried alot. The kitchen is overly stocked with pots, pans dishware and utensils, but look for the servers corkscrew in the drawer, the others were broken. We brought seasoning/spices but found several already there. There is a grill on the deck, and we had some great meals using it. If you have problems with stairs,(40ish level one to lawn below) this is not he property for you unless you stay on the first level and have someone else doing laundry. The hot tub is 3rd level down and there are a a few steps into the main entrance. Communicating with the office was easy and pleasant. We had a great time here, and if ever we have another big group, we would use this property again.

The Pictures Do Not Do This House Justice
? ? ? ? ? I recently rented this home for a weekend stay in Tahoe with my family for my wedding. With 14 of us staying under one roof this home never felt cramped, we loved the three story layout and all the various activities in the home for everyone to do. The location is PERFECT! A minute away from N Lake Blvd and has the most beautiful views from the back porch. Will definitely rent this home again when we make another trip to Tahoe!!

Comfortable family home with lots of room
We celebrated an early Christmas; 5 couples from in their sixties to in their twenties plus a 12 year old - plenty of space for togetherness as well as privacy. Three levels worked out well; master suites on top (main) floor and bottom floor; three bedrooms and one bath on middle level, and small room with bunk beds also on top floor; additional 3/4 bath on lower level. Some comfy beds, some reported as too hard. Great hot tub, fun game room, well-stocked but somewhat disorganized kitchen. They kindly provided us with a set of 10 matching wine glasses. This is a family home with family photos on the walls and clothes in closets and dressers. Decor is dated but furniture is pretty comfortable. Great dining table that sat the whole gang comfortably. Wonderful views, only 20 minutes from Squaw Valley. Two available garage spaces which was really nice for unpacking and packing the cars. Quiet neighborhood.

Great for our 3 generations
First time we rented this beautiful 3 floor home. Quiet areas for each of our sons family to sleep on each floor. And separate area for the grandparents to sleep as well. The pool table, piano, and outside snowy area made for a grand memories. Great kitchen and dining table for eating and craft time. We loved it!!!

Week in Tahoe
The house is nicely divided into 3 floors. The lowest floor has a smaller master suite and is very quiet and the noise from the living can not be heard. Great for folks who want to sleep. Unfortunately, the bed were UNcomfortable. The mattresses were soft and many of us had problems with that. Except the bunk-beds and those mattresses were rock hard. Many of us put the mattress on the floor to sleep. All decks are nice and we spent lots of time outside. The dinning table is fabulous for a large group, they have plenty of folding chairs to use. The kitchen is well equipped with items needed for a large group.

Tahoe Moon
This is the second time that are long-running ski group has stayed at the "Tahoe Moon" property. We love the large open areas and the equally large hot tub with the filtered view of Lake Tahoe. This spacious home has everything necessary to enjoy a great ski week. The only issue this year was the spring skiing conditions in February!
